Flu shots

We will be giving flu shots at the office starting in October.  Please call to let us know that you are coming in.   If you are already scheduled for an appointment October through the end of the year, Rosa will be giving the vaccination at the time of your visit.  The CDC recommends to start Flu shots in October in order to cover the duration of the flu season. There are new recommendation for vaccinations of persons with egg allergies.  People with egg allergies should be vaccinated in a medical setting and be supervised.

Pregnant women need to get their flu shots as recommended by the CDC.

Some offices are giving the flu shot earlier than October, however that is not the recommendation of the CDC.  Occasionally for patients who have difficulty coming in, I may authorize the nurse to give an earlier injection.

Flu epidemics are unpredictable and we all should be prepared and vaccinated.
