Making An Appointment

Patients are seen by appointment only. Our office hours are:

8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Our office is closed for lunch from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m., with the exception of appointments with our dietitians.

We appreciate 24 hours advanced notice for any appointment cancellations or changes.  There will be a charge for any uncanceled or missed appointments.

Prescription Refills

Please call our office with your prescription request — (805) 983-0425.  We will electronically submit your medical prescription and prescription refills to your pharmacy. Medications that require written prescriptions will be available for pick up at our office within 24 hours of receiving your request.

At every office visit with Dr. Brand, please bring in all of your medications. Dr. Brand and our medical professionals can provide written or electronic prescription refills at the time of your appointment.

Fees & Billing

Charges for office visits are determined by the severity and the complexity of the medical condition.  Please do not hesitate to discuss fees with us if you have any questions. You will receive a statement from our billing department for any services rendered.  Please send all payments directly to our office.  For your convenience credit card payment is accepted.

We accept Medicare and all private insurance plans.  We are primary care and specialty care to the SeaView HMO/IPA Medical Group. All co-payments are due at the time of the visit.

If Dr. Brand Is Not Available

In the event that Dr. Brand is not available for any length of time, including weekends, prior arrangements will be made with other qualified physicians to cover his practice during his absence.  His hospital patients will also be cared for by the physician who is on-call for that weekend as well as any other specialists involved in the patients’ care.  Each on-call physician will be informed of the hospitalized patient’s status in advance, therefore you can be assured that there will be continuity of care throughout the week.

Certain Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO) insurance plans require that your hospital care be designated to an HMO assigned physician.
